Road clearance with Tein S.

Hello everyone:)I'm waiting for my Tein S soon, and i live in Russia, Saint-Peteresburg.Because we have a little bit rough roads the question is what the total clearance on Tein S springs? For example i have 17" rims and 235/45 B. Potenza. So what clearance should i expect for?P.S. mb there are some coilovers that offer 0" in stock (for winter) and -2" (on summer)?Thx everyone:)

Should have a lot of clearance. I had those on my 04 Vibe with P215/45R17 tires which are smaller then yours. I drove that way across canada and here in alaska. No problems at all. The car sits high from stock so those drop it about 2 inches approx.

WELCOME TO GENVIBE The roads here in Quebec are extremely rough especially in the spring. I've never had any problems with bottoming out, just a rough ride. Tein S-Tech and 225/45/17. Several companies make coilovers including Tein but most are very expensive.

I live in northern Minnesota, which is close to canada and had the hotchkis springs, almost as lot as the stypes but I never had issues in the winter or any time. Just a little rougher ride and I went slow over speed bumps.

Thx, but u r misunderstanding me:)I've already reading genvibe.com a couple month and tonns posts about springs and lowering:)I'm exactly whant to know in inches (or mm) what clearance do u have with your Tein S. I'd think that simple math can't help here:) I suspect that declared clearance minus 2" doesn't show the real thing. In a futere i think about Tein SS coilovers. Because new suspension after i kill exist one will be cost greater then that;)Off:In this year we have a flood of Pontiac Vibe in Saint-Petersburg. I think it about 300-400 per town:)I have silver GT'03.

Ah i see. Well I think the S's dropped 2-2.5 inches. It all depends on your current mileage too. If your struts are worn more it can/will drop lower. Hotchkis was only suppose to drop 1.5 inches, but the front's dropped 2.

S-Tech's=Russian guy will be OK.Don't worry,you'll be fine.

I just measure my front clearance and rear clearance... 8" up front, 9" before the rear wheels, and 8" from the bottom of my exhaust tip...If you had a 2-2.5" drop that would still give you 5.5 - 6" of clearance...now, mine is a 06 with 27k miles, so the suspension hasn't really sagged at all... I would assume maybe another inch of sag... would put you between 5 and 6" of clearance... I think you'll be fine.

I have 4 1/2 inches or 11.4 cm to the lowest point which is in the front where the center jacking point is. The rear clearance is much, much higher.
