Door Hindge Loose Bolt Window Recall

Post by ProtonXX »

I just took my car to the dealer today to get the recall for the vibe door/window & they say theres nothing in the system yet. Anyone else get a recall fix yet or run into the same problem?

I just heard it is coming but have not gotten the letter form GM. Most of the time you have to wait for the letter and sometimes the letters are slowly sent out so the supplier can build enough parts for all. The dealers cannot just do it unless they have the repair code to which the recall will fall under. I would wait...

My mom heard about the recall on the news, and, being a mom, called me immediately to let me know my car was recalled. I thought nothing of it until, the very next day, my wife was putting up the passenger window when we heard this awful sound and thought the window was going to explode and shower her with glass! Luckily, that did not happen. But we heard metal parts falling inside to the bottom of the door.I contacted my dealer, and, like everybody said, they have no official documentation on this recall yet, but I can't wait. After talking to my dealer, he said that if the part is covered by the recall, then it will be reimbursed by GM. If not, then I would have had to pay for the service anyways, so I'm going in to get the work done ASAP. It's getting too nice this spring to not have a working front window
