hey welcome to the best forums!any other specs on the vibe? color, auot/manual, power package...etc.also when you get a chance get some pics, we love pics here at genvibe
Sorry. I meant to give more info. Color is dark grey metallic which I think is called "stealth". My Vibe is basic & bottom of the line. Manual transmission. manual windows. manual door locks. Tinted windows. Dog hair on the seats and nose prints on the glass. Last 2 items are a given no matter what I drive. I bought the Vibe because of the versatility & fuel economy. I have an old house which means lots of trips to the home improvement store. Most things I need will fit in the hatch and 30/36 mpg is almost double what I got in the old truck. Before I bought my Vibe, I knew 2 people with this car. Now in the neighborhood I see another one same color as mine and a black Vibe. Of course now I notice Vibes & Matrixes everywhere I go.It's a long boring story, but I can't download pics from my camera onto this computer. I hope to get that resolved one day soon.
ahh well im glad to hear you love it. as for the color, the dark grey is actually called moonstone..stealth is kinda a blueish grey. check out the garage section for pictures.i agree with the versatility of the vibe. i havent had to use it much, other then buying a big screen tv, but it's been great for everything else i've had to use it for. the fuel economy is also superb, unless you like to punch it a few times like i do then it's about average to any other car. but i admit it is better then my previous car aswell.
Thanks for the clarificatione. When I bought the car I wasn't concerned about what it was called. Now I look like a goof! Oh well. My dogs are black and you can't see them we walk at night. For years I've been telling the neighbors the dogs are in "stealth mode" [I live near a military air station. Lots of pilots around here] So the stealth nick still works. That's my story and I'm stickin to it!WaveAction, I just noticed you are in Hamilton. One of my dogs came from there. Small world!
Welcome to GV, you'll enjoy it. Lots of good advice and friendly folks to help you get the most out of your Vibe. I too have a gray Vibe 04, but mine has all the goodies on it. I love it for the same reasons as you; down sized from a van and get twice the mileage, and have an older home so haul things. Plus I live near NAS too, so we may see each other now and then. Check out my Garage page so you'll know when you see me.

I just put two small reflectors on my rear bumper; so if you see that it's me. I don't think anyone else has done it. Is your Vibe monotone or do you have the unpainted cladding?

I like "basic and bottom of the line". That makes my car a lot like me... Welcome and congrats to both new member/owners! You have chosen a great car and are now among some great people.

welcome to the fam. glad you found us, and post pics before the mob and i light our torches and grab our pitchforks and you don't look like a goof for not knowing the manufacturer color. that's the good thing about these forums, we won't flame you because of something stupid like that. we're all (somewhat) mature about things (to an extent)

Viva, I have unpainted cladding. In the 3 mos I've had this car I've noticed a lot of Vibes & Matrixes [Matrices?] in the 'hood & when driving around town. Looking closely at the background in your garage pics, I don't think we live in the same neighborhood even tho we are probably close.Nikki
