Amp fuse location

Post by darcmater »

Well it has been a few weeks since I moved stuff around in the engine compartment and still haven't found a good location for the fuse block for the amps. At the moment it is attached to the top of the black bracket holding the battery down. I am wondering is it bad to have the fuse block for the amps right there? I might just leave it since its secured, easy to get to and not causing any issues atm

You should be fine man, as long as it's not flopping around... shorter the better when it comes to placing the fuse holder next to the batter.. Streetwires even makes a battery terminal that carries a mini-ANL fuse holder right on it... The rule of thumb is no further than 18" from the battery..
