Odd Question

Post by darcmater »

Twice so far in the past couple of weeks there has been some local disturbances in my neighberhood. Last weeks some kids decided to shoot at each other and tonight was large number of kids out on the street yelling and chaseing each other with bats and such. Now Lansing isn't that big of a town only about 380,000 people or so, probably one of the smallest capitols of any of the states. I wouldn't really call any part of lansing ghetto, but some areas are definately run down a bit and have what I would call hoodlums living there. The past year or so I have been here I have noticed most the kids in the neigborhood play in the street or walk down the streets, even if its just 1 of them instead of on the sidewalk.SO what I am wodnering is if you guys had this going on in your neighborhood would you think about moving or wait and see if its just a freek occurance of the past few weeks? I kind of want to move anyways, michigan economy sucks still and I am so tired of the snow.

I would keep your guard up! Do you have a neighboorhood watch program. If so Get it activated or start one. If the neighboors stand up against the hoodlems the hoodlems will move on. Call the Police when you see stuff going on. Maybe increased patrols will help curb some of the issues. If its a freak occurance not big deal. If It is the start of something more now is the time to be proactive in preventing it form escalating.
