I feel accomplished

Soo I noticed a headlight went out on the driver side this evening... I figured "no biggie, changed a headlight before." Wrong! For a car with such a open engine bay, the headlight area is so effing cramped! I have small hands, and I barely was able to get the bulb and stuff between the battery and the assembly.Not to mention, I didn't see the little clip and was tugging at the bulb without success, after reading the owners manual for the second time, I realized that there was a stupid metal hanger in the way. Anywhays after much fussing with the thing, I got the bulb(s) replaced and was happy to be done with it. I do feel accomplished though because it's the first thing I've done on the car.Anyone else have an annoyance with these lights at first? my 96 Grand Prix was just a flap you lifted up and yanked the bulb out so I was all "(removed) mate?"--Zer0.

Yeah, it took me a while the first time as well, then it goes pretty quick.

I fought with mine the first time. Now I just remove the battery. My GMC was worse until a friend showed me there is 2 large pins that you remove and the entire headlight assembly comes out.

I have changed bulbs in worse!The vibe isnt so bad! the battery side is definatly tighter than the other. But I do have skinny fingers.

If it makes you feel any better , my Pacifica only takes about 3 min to change. 2 nuts pop out the whole assembly and the bulb is right there. I tried that with the vibe but there must be a secureing point behind the bumper of fender.Aron

i would have just taken the headlight out to get to the bulb...dont know about you guys..lol
