Vibe Radio Compatibility

Post by ilangsfs »

Can anyone tell me if the factory radio from the Vibe could also be used in an 01 Pontiac Aztek? The faces look almost identical. I'm at work otherwise I'd go check the plugs myself. Can anyone help?

I just found it funny that I have the gif in my signature, and you have the same photo for the avatar...To answer your question, I'm not positive, but I believe that our radio is the same for all GM's, I believe that the wiring harness is the same... but being that so much of the rest of the car is toyota I guess I could be wrong... I haven't taken the factory radio out, so I'm not sure what the harness even looks like.

No, it won't work.Aztek has GM DataBus, requires the radio to be able to communicate with the rest of the vehicle and the BCM. The Vibe being primarily Toyota does not support GMDB.
YES!I still visit GenVibe periodically. I have not forgotten about my "original" family over here!
