2ZZ-GE or 1ZZ-FE

Post by mwandaw »

I have been looking for some routine maintenance parts, and a lot of the references distinguish between "2ZZ-GE" and 1ZZ-FE.I believe that 2ZZ-GE refers to the Vibe GT, but can anyone confirm this?Is there a note about whether 2ZZ-GE or 1ZZ-FE applies to my car in the owners manual or somewhere else in the car? Thanks!

yes the 2zz is from the GT models..so if u have a GT then u have the 2zz-GE..otherwise you have the 1zz-FE if u have a base or awd(if im not mistaken)

I believe the 8th digit in the VIN is also the engine code........from there you should be able to identify your engine from info that's in the owner's manual.
