Well, I had my Vibe for less than a month and have already made a rack for it, and put it to the test this weekend while kayaking in WV.The rack does not hang over the edge of the car unless the extension bars are slid out which almost doubles the width of the rack. We could have fit six or seven boats on there but that was not needed this time. The stacking in this picture was organic, the three boats in the middle were loaded first and the other to were added latter for the 30 mile shuttle. The car fit 5 people and all the gear very well. This is a great little kayaking car. With three boats on the car, (the ones in the center) I averaged 27 MPG on the highway.James

Thanks for the kind words. I do part time fabrication. The Monte is just a street car I do a couple of all Monte event each year and run at the track on T&T nights. I drive it there and back. I started whitewater kayaking a few years ago so I rarely use the Monte any more. I put a all forged 383 CID stroker engine it last year ran it twice and haven't touched it sence.
