Anyone ever use one? Ive heard they are great for autox, rally, etc. if you dont want/cant afford to spend on a full racing harness setup. I was going to order 2 for myself (both front seat's). I also may have a coupon code to save a couple bucks....http://www.cg-lock.com/index.htmlhttp:/ ... stall.html
Ever had a chance to use a 4pt harness? If not, it's nothing the same... Using a 4pt you HAVE to have you and your seat set up properly or you can't reach anything... Not a bad concept, but to market it as a "cheap" alternitive to a 4pt is just silly..
I have 2 3 pt harnesses (bolts right up to existing seat belt bolts or anchors). I don't want a roll bar or harness bar, so the 3 pt works great for me.
I'm a little lost on how a piece of metal that essentially straps your waist down should cost $50. It seems like something that could be fabricated and made for $5

This locks it all the time when its used.
I just put my order in, for half the price of 1 harness that can really only be used during a autox i got 2 cg-locks that can be used all the time if i want and I can upgrade later. I would rather have a harness bar if i got harnesses anyway....

You don't need a cage for a harness.... You don't even really need a harness bar... all a harness bar does it hold the belts horizontal so you can mount the back end to the stock front locations, allowing you to have use of that position in the back seat.... Otherwise, the back end of the harness just attaches to where the rear lower belts attach...

for autoX we always flipped the seatbelt three times latched and then pulled, it put's you in the seat and won't unlock... at least prior to 2002 cars... haven't tried it since b/c I don't auto X anymore...basically did the same thing that these things do, except they probably do a better job.

I would twist the seatbelt about 3 times after locking it and then buckle it into place. I sure didn't move. Couldn't breath well either but yet... who can't hold their breath for 34 seconds LOL

well so far so good, these work great and a friend with them that autox's loves them too. cant wait for the sun to stay out so i can toss some corners.
I have the G-Lock too and its great rally holds you down for what it is. It claims 80% of the holding power of the harness and I believe it. Money well spent.

well I've used them autox'ing and road rally'ing in the twisties and they hold you the heck into your seat. Well worth the little money and easy install. I'd get them for all my seat belts but new passengers dont get how to use them :/ "lever goes down then belt..no hold it normal..wait flip, no the other way, down not up, aahhh let me do it..ok ok you got it."
