I was outside a little while ago, cleaning my '06 Platinum two-tone, when I was reminded of something I first did when I got my car new a year and a half ago. I guess you could call it my first "mod".I'd only had my Vibe for two days, when the black paint on the upper edge of my driver's side door got nicked slightly after I parked too close to a chain link fence. I was really annoyed this had happened, and to prevent it from happening again, I (first) vowed never to park close to a chain link fence again, and then I went down to my local Advance Auto Parts, and for just a few dollars bought some of this self-adhering door edging (in black) to apply to my upper doors. It's very unobtrusive - scarcely even noticeable. And while I don't think I've come close to nicking that same area again since, at least the black edges are well protected. It does seem to have shrunk very slightly over time, but still looks good - again, as in barely noticeable. Just thought I'd share this no-brainer mod with anyone who's had a similar problem.

Sorry - loaned my camera and never got it back. Guess I'll have to break down and buy another one.
