Steel blue metallic 09 vibe - chick color?

Has anyone seen a Steel blue metallic 09 vibe? I am considering getting that color, but in person it definitely appears violet. Reminds me of India Ink from Toyota but a bit lighter and a tad more violet. I am just concerned it is a trendy color (not so classic) and that it's a chick color (I am female so it's more my husband).Any thoughts?

Think long term... will you still love the color in 3-5years... if so get what you love now.. if the color don't "speak" to you i wouldn't get itI love my Salsa... it's not bright red or dark burgundy... just right lol

I have the Navy Blue metallic, picutre in Vibe Garage (traveler03 2009 Vibe Pic).I have not seen the Steel Blue in person. The Navy Blue is darker that the color chip in the book and the Mystic Blue is more blue/gree/gold looking than the chip in the book. So I am not sure where the Steel Blue will end up in real life.

I haven't seen it yet but I'm interested in the color... It sounds like it may be pretty. The navy looks more or less like the old Neptune. I'm glad they're offering different shades of blue. If it is has a purple tint to it, it wouldn't bother me a bit. I would drive a purple car in a heartbeat.

If you like it, get it. And don't worry about if its a "chick" color. If its going to be your car, your husband will learn to like it if he has to drive it on occasion. There are a lot of colors that I like that are considered "chick" such as my purple iPod case and teal Nike shoes (that my fiancee loves!). I'm a guy and I like the blue metallic. Its something new. I bet it would look really good with dark tinted windows and a nice set of rims. My vote is go for it!

I have decided on the Steel Blue Metallic 09 Vibe GT. The dealer is looking for one for us. The first one he found in OH, but the dealer was rude and hung up on my salesman cuz he didn't have the perfect trade for him. I just found one on the online car locator on Pontiac's website about 2 hours north of our town, so I'm sure my salesman will call them tomorrow.I'm going to pinstripe it with silver and on that dark violet it should be stunning. My husband seems to like the color so I think I'm ok. I'm sure my sons will gasp, but oh well it's MY CAR!

I mean for years there was only one car with them, the actual Altezza, then the bandwagon started... (my only gripe, besides the radio)
