Shades to wear while driving

Post by VibeyWannaBe »

Hi there:The red reflection from the Vibe gauges are something that will be new to me to deal with. I am not used to the red. Any suggestions for shades or night time glasses are appreciated

When it is sunny, I wear my Ray Ban sunglasses, but as far as the gauges, I haven't had any problems....even if the sun shines on them.

mmm Sunglasses, here's my recommendation:Check out Rudy Project sunglasses! http://www.rudyprojectusa.comI would highly suggest the Graal series, they look great for just being around town. They are awesome sunglasses. It's nice because they have interchangable lenses as well, so depending on the conditions, you can put in different lenses to help you see betterI use Kerosenes myself, but I'm also a Mountain/Road bike racer, and I change my lenses out depending on conditions.Yellow is great for cloudy days, in snow conditions, the "racing red" lenses are great because they seem to bring out color in stuff, and there are a couple "mirror" styles as well. I know a lot of bicycle shops carry them, and if not, they can be ordered, so they aren't something you would find in a regular retail setting.Hope this helps! Rudy Projects make excellent products!

I don't know much about sunglasses, but I do know what I want. Polariazed lenses are the only way to go for me. Reduces glare all round. Also UV filtering is important too.

I've bought a few pricey pairs and lost or broken them. My current pair are $5 cheapies from a 7-11 in Plano, TX and I've had them for more than a year.

I have Oakley Twenty's and they are excellent. The pair in my Vibe are silver with ice blue lenses. My other pair are silver with fire orange lenses. I haven't had any problems seeing my guages even when the sun is shinning directly on them.

I have several pairs of sunglasses, and none of them work when the sun shines directly on the gauges. Those rudy sunglasses look sweet though anyone have a price on them.?

Normal prices for Rudys range anywhere from $60 to 120 depending on where ya go and where ya get em at. I think you can check their website and find local dealers or mail order places, check em out, they are seriously worth it :D

I love my Ray Ban's... they are polarized and not very dark... so I can still see very well. They are metal frames (my plastic oakley frames broke twice, loved the warranty, but not the hassle) and are very light to wear... I forget I've got them on all the time (aside from it being darker)
