Does anyone know a good place to get a power source that is active when the car is in ACC or ON but not when the car is off?I read the thread about the wire under the center console but that is from 2004. Without pulling my console to verify....does anyone know if that wire is still there on the 08 model? Also, if it is there...how do I know which lead is positive and which is ground? Thanks. Will
I just want a powered (ACC on) lead to tell the amp when to turn on. Not looking for power to run the amp, just to turn it on.If both wires are there....which one is hot?
oh, with my sub amp back in my taurus...it had the 12v off the battery then another wire to the HU for the shut off when the car wasnt on.... Cant help you with the vibe exactly...sorry but i know lots of people on here have put subs in so you'll get a response soon.

It should be blue/white or blue/yellow.YUP! the acc is the one i was thinking of stock HU has a blue/white for 12v but mine stays on even if the car is off (for my ipod, it stays charging the ipod) but aftermarket HU's have it i know for sure.

Just connect to any existing screw/bolt in the car for the ground connection if needed.
Ah. I was wondering if there might only be one wire. I couldn't tell from the pictures I found. That makes things simple :-)Tap into that lead....run it under the carpet to the back....hook to wire on amp that tells it when the car is on (ACC/ON)Thanks
Amp is in and working spiffy. There were two wires in the connector for the 12volt socket so I had to go get a voltage tester thingy and find out which was hot.On the 08 Vibe....the wire you want is the blue one
YUP - the same way on my 2008. I just posted the fix on another thread I started. My problem was that the fuse on was bad - a bunch of work for such a simple fix.
