Haven't found an official source - however it appears the 09's now use a 113 (4.5") x 5 bolt pattern, vs the previous 100 x 5.Can anyone confirm an official source? Accessory stores in my area have no listing of the 09's as yet.

That is much more common. With the 2.4 it has a 5x114 bolt pattern(same as Camry).Anything with the 1.8 has the 5x100 bolt pattern. We had this discussion on Wed,one of the guys just bought the 09 XRS,and we were checking wheels out.Strange but true.

Just installed 16x7 5x100 40mm offset wheels on my 2009 base model with 1SB (SE trim) , so firsthand answered my own question I guess. Dealer was good enough to trial one to be sure at N/C.Anyone in Toronto area may want to checkout allen@simplytire.com.He did a very throrough and careful install - centering rings, balance, and swapped TPS valves. Hand torque. Price was reasonable as well.416-916-9233 not afiliated with them at all - just a happy customer.

Dam, I was hoping to use my old winter tires/rims on the new vibe too, but i have the 2.4 ordered so looks like I will need new wheels too, anyone what to buy the old ones, lolso the 2.4 even on the base model as an upgrade has the 114?
Fudgecakes!Just purchased a used set of 2009 Matrix wheels "knowing" that they were all the same..... Anyone need a set of 2009 Matrix 17" OEM rims/tires in the Seattle area?
Can I use VW195/65/R15 winter tires with steel rim on my '09 Vibe? They both have 5x100 bolt patterns but I don't know if there is anything else I need to know.
I need to find this out too. I have the upgraded engine but not the GT model. It has the 16" tires. On the GM site it only shows the base Vibe (which I have) having the 5x100 bolt pattern. If it has the 5x114 I might be able to use my old Grand Am snow tires as they are 5x114.Pat

Is a 5x114 wheel offset the same as a 5X114.3 ??? I know nothing about this subject so was hoping someone could help me out. I'm wondering is it is asctually the same wheel size any they just drop the ".3"?? Or are they two sizes actually different ?Appreciate any replies! Thanks

Actually, 5 X 114 has nothing to do with offset. Offset, is the distance between the backside of the wheel mounting surface and the center line of the wheel (positive offset or negative offset or zero offset). 5 X 114 is the bolt pattern - 5 bolts on a 114mm spread or spacing.
2009 2.4 Vibe has 5x114.3mm. There is no 5x114. When folks mention 114mm they are causing confusion to those who are not aware of the complete (and correct) size. Other GM have 5x115 but not the Vibe b/c it is really a Toyota Corolla with a new skin.
5x114.3mm is found on many other cars; such as Mustang, Eclipse, Lancer and Gallant. Just look around and you will find several options
