No blue/white wire on stereo? (M&T)

Post by scoot »

I have a 2003 Vibe with Moon & Tunes and I am installing a new stereo unit. I read about the issues that some have had with the amplifier and the blue/white wire on the harness. The harness that I purchased has a blue/white and blue wire, however my stereo only has a blue wire for "power antenna or amplifier."What should I do? I am assuming that I would want to connect the head unit's blue wire to the blue/white wire on the harness since the blue/white wire is necessary to enable the amp. (In other words the blue and blue/white wires have the same function, the Vibe only uses the blue/white.) Or am I wrong? I simply want to make sure because I don't want to blow anything up :DThanks!

YES!I still visit GenVibe periodically. I have not forgotten about my "original" family over here!

Yes I had read that and it's where I had gotten the thing about the blue/white on the harness from. And for future reference I ended up connecting the unit's blue (antenna/amp) wire to the blue-white and it works great.
