paint defect

Post by altimar »

I washed and waxed my car (bought new 12/07) for the first time this weekend and discovered a small paint defect. It's almost impossible to see unless you're looking for it, but my concern is that it might lead to much larger problems later on. It feels a little squishy, like it would peel off easily. Am I correct that this should be covered under warranty?I haven't contacted my dealer yet and will be doing so soon, but I wanted to get a few other opinions. I am almost due for the first oil change and was thinking about asking them to fix the paint then. What do you guys think?

ask them to fix it.. they have dent repair/paint experts that can fix that.. they use those people when the cars come in off the car carrier scratched.

Yeah that is a weird one! I detailed cars for years and have never seen this! Looks like something is under the paint. Yup, have it checked out for sure!
