I bought the parts today to updgrade the center console with the power outlet and the dual storage top. I went to Toyota first to see if I could get the parts today. I gave the part jockey the part numbers and then he asked what kind of car it was for. I said Vibe/Matrix. He immediatly said, well the parts aren't the same and you get no warranty or return from us if you buy them here. Then basically acted like he couldn't find them, and sent me to the attached GM dealer. The GM guy couldn't find the parts since I had the Toyo part numbers, so I just left and bought them online...So I can't wait for the stuf to arrive!!!

what difference should it make what I'm buying it for???I request a part number and willing to pay money for it. What the heck do you care what i do with it.

What the heck do you care what i do with it.That is exactly what I said, its his job to sell parts, not to ask questions. I wouldn't have cared about the warranty or returns. But whatever, some other Toyota dealership on-line got the business. The next two things on the list are tint, and wheels. I also have an order out to Toolguy for the fog light covers. I ordered a set for my fiancee and myself.
The only argument I'd make to that is the occasional dealer tries to prevent people from buying parts that won't work that they can't return to protect the customer. However, with the part numbers? Why would they say no? And to even bring up warranty seems ridiculous.
The local Toyota dealership here is great. They realize that there are Toyota parts on the Vibe. Now the Pontiac dealership is different. They want to charge a fortune for things. So it's back to Toyota. A example, rear wiper from GM $28, from Toyota $2.10 (refill). Spark plugs from GM $15 each (Iridium), Toyota $9. Hmm
