Is GM iPod connection available on Vibe 2008?

Hi,I just ask a quote for a new Vibe, but the salesperson was unsure if the iPod connector from GM could be installed in it.Anyone can confirm it is or not?Which hardware part it is?Thanks

I'm also looking. Haven't done much to the Vibe yet but this forum is great for ideas.

the AUX is only on the 2009 stock. 08 and below need adapters, ie. ipod2car

The vibe is NOT going to work with GM's ipod adapter. The 09 has a faceplate aux port which would allow you to pump the ipod's audio output into the stereo, but it will NOT allow you to control the ipod from the radio. The Vibe is not built with a traditional GMLAN technology which is needed for GM's ipod adapter...
YES!I still visit GenVibe periodically. I have not forgotten about my "original" family over here!

The basic question for me is "what works"? I've done quite a bit of searching and have not been able to find an adapter that is listed to work with the 2008. Most of the sites give the fm transmitter option but not a hardwire connection. I don't mind the cost of ipod2car adapter but I'd rather not spend $150 for something that won't work. In my case I have the stock single CD radio.

I have the peripheral adapter for the 1disc for sale soon... It plugs to the ipod adapter allows basic buttons from the stock HU to be used, ff rw, next back. When it is for sale it will be posted in my for sale thread.
