That's too bad! I had lost a lot of respect for him personally in the last few years but his talent as a designer is undisputed.Auto enthusiasts have definitely lost an icon.RIP Boyd.

I used to love the show, even though it seemed off key at times, it was still great to see the cars that were made.Especially the junk-yard special Chevy! I loved that thing.RIP, he will be missed.

I liked watching the show, but, it also showed home much of a pompus jerk he turned into over the years... I guess the business, beat the "car guy" out of him.... Considering his beloved painter jumped ship and went to work with Foose, gives much cred to what I just said... Sure, he was a great in the industry, but, when you become to big for your own britches, what do you got left? A bunch of people that don't much care to work for you and a bunch of other people that can't stand you.... RIP, but I won't miss ya..

I don't think many people were aware of the fact that Chip Foose originally worked for him as his Chief Designer, and that they had such bad blood. But Foose did make some comments in regards to his death and was very sincere.

His cars were great, BUT, they were also WAY inflated over everything else... it's like Hilfiger or something.... I personally feel Foose is a REALLY great person, on other forums I'm on people have met/talked/worked with him and he is just like on Overhaulin' A "REAL" down to earth dude... I just think Boyd got way to caught up in his "fame" and it went to his head.... I mentioned people on other forums, well, they have "kinda" met Boyd to, but he was only interested in talking to the "big money" people, everyone else were just "carpet" in his eyes from what I understand (I've been reading this all day on my various forums)
