Welcome to the board. yes, we've known about the K&N intake for a little while now. Injen, TRD and AEM also make intakes.http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id ... ad?id=4142

I believe the Injen, AEM, and TRD will all give better perfoarmance gains than the K & N and they are cheaper.

Do you have links to these? I am very new to installing anything on my car! I noticed the Injen etc have to go under the drivers side wheel well! Will it interfere if I put 18 inch rims and drop it 1.5 inches? I was wondering how well the filter would hold up also since its exposed to the road more. I do alot of highway driving(about 600 miles a week so I want something to last! Also how much more HP and torque do you get with a longer intake over a shorter intake? Just newbie questions but I am learning!

You'll be fine with the wheels and drop. The installation is pretty easy. Here is a great walkthrough on an Injen install on a base: http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=1281 I believe the HP increases are around 12 on the base and 15 on the GT. Not sure about the torque. I installed the Injen on my GT. It took about 1 1/2 hours by myself. The performance increase is very noticable, especially when you hit lift. It also gives the car a nice low rumble when you open up the throttle.
