Changing from winter tires to summer tires

Post by ~MRVIBE2006~ »

As that I have my winter shoes on now (Dunlop Winter Sport M3), I was just wondering, when does everyone change to their summer shoes? I was thinking mid March or somewhere around there. Or should I wait till the temp is above a certain degree and stays there? Suggestions?

Down south in Indiana mid-march should be fine. Up here in the Great White North I wait until the first or second week of April.

I don't change mine until May. We usually get golfing weather in march and a snowstorm in may. Once the temps are steadily above +7 C is a good time to change them.

I always aim for mid April, but it usually turns out to be the May long weekend before I actually get them changed. This year should be better though since the Nissan dealer is 2 minutes from work.

I am getting so sick of winter I don't think I can wait much longer. I will probably put my summer wheels back on the first day it hits 50 or late march, whichever comes first. I don't care if it hits 50 a week from now, the wheels will still be going on. I'll risk the late snow/ice storm.

I don't even know what I'm gonna do next winter. Lowered with the bodykit will not be a good combo to deal with ice and snow. My car is already low enough to plow the road between tire tracks. Oh, well, I'll cross that bridge when I get to it.

how much lower does the body kit go below the stock one? I did fine in duluth with a lowered car on stock body.

I'd say right after the Glacier melts in Anderson Indiana But all seriousness aside, here in the Global Warming East I change to the "All-Seasons" around the first week in April.

I'm more worried about damaging it more so than getting stuck. Like I said, I'll worry about that later. I have to get it painted and installed first.
