HOW TO - Reducing your Junk Mail!

Post by zionzr2 »

http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/conline....shtmThis site has links that can greatly reduce your junk mail including Catalogs, Credit offers, and insurance offers. Just like the DoNotCall program it wont stop all of it but can reduce most of it. Save a tree and stop the mail you wont read and just throw away anyway.

The optoutprescreen site REALLY works! I swear I would get CC offers in the mail practically every stinkin' day... They went away in no time after signing up over there.

Unlike junk phone calls, junk faxes and SPAM, I love junk mail. Helps keep our postage rates down and makes money for our school recyling program. Also some entertainment value in writing love notes to the likes of the ACLU and various politcal entities asking for money. Postage paid return of course!

OOh...we need that 'do not call' telemarketing registry for my work! I'm sick of those recorded messages every day.My mom gets them at work too, and she freaked out one day saying she got a message that the car warranty was being cancelled. I told her it's a trick-they're trying to sell something...everybody gets that message. I'd like a stop to the daily credit card offers-especially when our neighborhood mail carriers can't seem to put the RIGHT MAIL in the RIGHT BOX

An interesting little "tidbit" I found out one day (it can be searched for, but i'm to lazy)But, in the states, you ARE allowed to attach up to 72lbs to a pre-paid, return envelope that you get with EVERY one of these pieces of junk mail... Consider the possibilities... AND they MUST open the package on the other end... Got any old tires you would like to get rid of??? LOLers..
