Kuhmo Ecsta ASX, what are the max # of miles on these tires? Quiet ride.

Post by lexicon »

Just got rid of my Goodyear RSA EAGLE tires, got 50k miles out of them, how many miles can I expect out of the Ecsta tires.I dont drive rough, they are warranted for 30K, is 40k reasonable to expect ?The tire is quiet, handles well.your comments welcomeThanks

I've owned many sets of Kumho tires, and will be getting a set of the SPT's for my Suabru this spring hopefully..

I have Kumho Ecsta ASX tires on my car now. I replaced the Goodyears RS-craps at around the same time as you. So far I have almost 10,000 miles on them and could easily see myeslf getting 40 from them. They were cheaper than the RS-A Eagles through discounttiredirect.com I paid $328 for the set. So far I love them, they have proven themselves to be a much more competent tire in dry, wet and snow. Yesterday we had a nasty little storm come through only 3 inches but there was ice underneath. I was able to crawl up some steep hills and manuever the backroads home to keep off the congested highway. Took my time and the tires handled flawlessly. This morning I drove to work in the slush and flooded highway. I was able to do 50-60mph no problem without hydroplaning. Try hitting a puddle at 60mph with a set of your stock Goodyears and see what happens. These things stick, hold on and cause no deviation in where your going i.e. not being pulled into the puddle and off the road.Highly recommended 10k user so far!

40K would be great. I only got 34K on mine and I'm a pretty conservative driver.

a friend of mine had it for 35k miles. 40k seems great! that is if you're not much of a speedy driver. _____________________i need a Pulstar Plug. Care to share where you can buy this stuff?

The ASX is a summer performance rated tire. Not going to get a ton of miles out ot them. If you get over 30k count yourself lucky. I went with the KH16 instead, still an all-season, but not as aggressive, and rated for MANY more miles.
