It's that time again on the gf's 03 base, 165k miles and not even going to attempt turning the rotors again, severe metal on metal scrubbing 5-0mph when braking

Try looking on Tire Rack. They have many options for rotors and pads. As soon as my rotors and pads are due to be changed, I'm going with slotted rotors and ceramic pads (almost NO brake dust). It would be worth the extra $$ IMO. Or, if you want to go with the lifetime pads, go with Autozone Duralast pads. Good luck!

Aftermarket pads & rotors, like Parts Place has cheap, stock, and premium lines.Pick your $ amount. I found non-premium drilled/slotted rotors $60 ea, with ceramic pads $80/set.Holy **** do they bite! Bit of a buzz when applied, esp applied hard - however this was the best setup I've ever used.Car can stop in what feels subjectively like half the distance over stock.one of the cheapest mod's I've done as well.
So I have recently decided I wanted to upgrade my rotors since I apparently have worn mine out. I figured I would look into getting some slotted/drilled ones. Mainly for cosmetic reason than increased stopping power. From looking around it seems I can get OEM ones for about 50 bucks and 75+ for slotted/drilled ones. Being the cheap guy I am I was wondering if anyone has a brand recomendations thats closer to the OEM price then some of the ones I have found that scale up to 150.
Just did mine... 60,000 miles... I bought lifetime pads from Murrays auto for $21. No rotora needed and the cars brake are just fine with the new pads.
