Whats involved in removing my front converter in Manifold on 2003 AWD

Post by MountainMax »

I have read many of you removed the exhaust manifolds on the AWD vibes and bet out the guts of the converter, How do I go about this? is it hard to get at? do i do it from underneith or under the hood? will i need new bolts or exhaust studs/nuts or gaskets? I tried to do a search but found nothing on actually performing this mod. Im hoping it will make my little vibe a little easier on fuel if i do this but want a 'how to' before doing it.Thanks in advance guys.

Check the post right below yours. lol. You can reuse the bolts and nuts. Since your's is a 2003 you may need a new gasket. Once it is off just use a screwdriver and a hammer to gut the cat.OR Buy mine...http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=31914
