I would say deal....sounds fair....may be able to go a little cheaper not by much.....my time would be worth more than time req'd to haggle. I paid $12995 for a 2006 base fwd auto/air/cd NO pwr win/locks with 20,800 mi. back in 08/2007.$15000 ish for a new one sounds really good.
Right......you have a pretty good deal going on that 2007. If you are down to $15577 before TTL then they came down almost $2k without throwing incentives around....that's a mark down of 10-11% if my math is right.
Looks good. I just bought another Vibe, also 07, sticker was $18,125, dealer price before rebates was $17000. I did not get a "car show" discount. If you take that and the $834 you are $1334 below sticker before the rebates, where I was just $1125 below. If you plan to keep the car a long time, then get the 07 and save the money. In 10 years the resale on a Vibe with 120,000+ miles will not be much different if 07 or 08.

They sweetened the pot this morning. They dropped it another $505 from last night. When I walked out of the dealership I told them I knew it was a fair deal, but I needed to relook at the 2008's for the slight difference in price. They want all the 2007's gone today, the last day of the incentives. I talked to a service manager friend of mine at the dealership this morning and he told me the dealership was offering in-house incentives to staff to move any 2007's off the lot this month. My dealer's rep also needs numbers. Before I left I looked at the sales board in the managers pit, and the salesman is way behind on his count compared to rest of the sales staff. I guess that all adds up.Dealer's new offer is now 15,245 off the MSRP of 19,834. That sealed the deal.I almost asked for $14,999 but didn't want to sound stupid. Fair is fair. I got to respect the salesman for doing a good job and working a solid deal for me.
It's like my Dad had said when he was looking at the GT500.. why would I whine about $500 if I'm blowing $50k on a car?I kind of think the same for a $15k car.. why whine about a measly $200?AWESOME DEAL MAN!!! I'm happy for you!
