*Interest* PPE Race Header for 1ZZ

Post by vehicle_5 »

I wanted to post this up to see if anyone would be interested in making their 1ZZ-FE engine a little faster!! PPE Engineering has engineered a new race header for the 1ZZ-FE engine. If there's any interest in this header I'll post up the prices that PPE has set. We have a group buy already started on another forum. Here's the link. http://newcelica.org/forums/sh...64657Here's the design specs:-Mild steel water jet flange-1.5"-1.68" stepped primaries-28" long primaries-2.25" choke merge collector-1 O2 bung-1 SS flex section-3 bolt flange outlet with matching flange to be-welded to rest of system.-flange hardware and gasket. Here's some pics of the header. Here are the dynos:Resonator+ Cat vs. Decat and Straight pipe(TOP) - Stock header vs. PPE Race Header and Decat (BOTTOM)

It's worth it!! I had them use my car as the test subject and it has really increased opened up the power range.

I would do it except for i'm going to be turboing my car soon...one question would the flange for the pipe for a celica match up with a vibe pipe...i currently have a header sitting in my house that i need to get a new flange welded on it sits on the block fine, but it won't match up with the mid-pipe

^lol. From what I hear, the DC header is still a shorty header and provides more low-mid range power, then falls short up top. While the PPE header is a long tube "race" header which eliminates the cat. This header also creates power throughout the powerband, and really shines in the higher RPM's.
