Anyone have any experience with it? It's about time for a new cell phone and I'm thinking about the Moto Rokr for Alltel. I'm happy with my service so I'm not switching, but wanted to see if anyone has any comments etc about the Rokr.I'm tired of my phone falling off the holdster clip and getting beat up/breaking. I was going to get the LGX8600, but they didn't have any in stock. I would like comments today because my current cell is officially dead after its latest tumble down the stair case (this time it made it all 3 flights of stairs before it stopped).

I've quite enjoyed the motorola experience, but I've never purchased a 1st generation Moto phone. I'm hoping since the Rokr is a repackaged Rizr that they will have fixed the issues. The rule of thumb I've used is to wait for the newest Moto phone to trickle down from Verizon and by the time the other carriers get it, it should be decent. I have had the Motorola E815 for the past two years and been very happy with its performance, but I don't think they make a product that will meet that type of quality for me.Unfortunately, I can't get the LG phone for another week and I'm going on business travel Thursday and need a phone. Guess I'm stuck...

Per this:Quote, originally posted by engineertwin2 »I would like comments today because my current cell is officially dead after its latest tumble down the stair case (this time it made it all 3 flights of stairs before it stopped).I'll see if they will give me a loaner phone until the new LG's come in. Or see if I can find some reviews of the ROKR. I'd only get the ROKR because it is slim enough to fit in my pocket. The past few phones I've had (3 Moto E815s) have eventually eaten it because Moto's clip design sucks and I'm awesome at cutting corners and dragging my hips across, catching the phone.
