C&D recently did a big review on CUVs. They included the following;Toyota Rav 4Honda CR-VNissan RogueMitsubishi OutlanderSuzuki Grand VitaraSaturn VUE XEFord Escape XLTHyundai TusconJeep Libertyhttp://stage.caranddriver.com/....htmlI only have one complaint about this whole thing. The JEEP is not really classified as a CUV. It is by no means a cross-over, since it offers Full Time 4WD for heavy off-roading, comes in RWD to begin with, has grown in size and is more comparable in size to the Grand Cherokee. A more comparable Jeep would have been the Patriot or soon outgoing Compass. Both are FWD with available AWD, similar in size to the others as well. The Liberty is definitely classified as a Small SUV. I really think people are confusing cars here. I would have put the others in the CUV class cause they are all Front Drivers and small. The Jeep is larger and most capable off-road, not to mention again RWD.Sorry folks, as a die-hard Jeep aficionado and my fiance owns an 05 Liberty Renegade, I hate when people give reviews basically saying it is too "truck" like in comparison to the others. Did they ever sit back to think that that is what Jeep WANTS you to think! Why would they make a woose mobile out of the Liberty when they have the Patriot Compass to take care of that market segment and leave us REAL JEEP lovers alone.People don't buy a Wrangler for practicality, and the Grand Cherokee is the smallest interior of all mid-size SUVs. They buy them cause they are slick, have awesome engines and drivetrains, and can pretty much go anywhere.
Yeah that does not make sense! C&D... Should have used the Compass or Patroit like you said! What was C&D thinking, I would love to know! I used to get their mag years ago but when all they did was favor imports I told them call your mag "Foreign Driver" and never subscribed to it again...
