Good news - bought a second Vibe!
Got a mailer from GM doubling my GM card rebate to $3,000. Been looking for another car for my two high school kids to drive (my son in college has my 03 Vibe GT). Found a leftover 07 base with auto, think I got a pretty good deal.Sticker 18,125Negotiated dealer selling price 17,000GM Card rebate 3,000-07 GM rebate 1,750-GM Loyalty rebate 1,000-Final price before taxes 11,250Dealer did ding me $159 for anti-theft window etching they'd already done, but with all the rebates I figured I wouldn't complain too much.

Yes - that may be an all time new Vibe deal.The doubling of your GM Card rebate to $3,000 is interesting. They only offered to increase my $1,300 rebate to $2,000. Maybe they are pushing harder in California than they are in Ohio.

No alarm. Some program where they etch a code number on each window, then if the car is stolen and not recovered you get cash of some amount. I haven't read the paperwork on it yet.Maybe the GM card thing is regional. We had about $1560 on our card and got a "top up" to $3,000. How so many rebates? They are offering the loyalty rebate to those who own a 99 or new GM, they are offering 1750 on 07s and 1250 on 08s. And then the GM credit card rebate. I last used my GM card rebate for a 3500 rebate on my 03 Vibe GT.

My dad just got this offer on an 08. Something like $18,000 out the door and he picks it up Thurs. Got to make him a set of my fog lamp covers since he drives on the hwy for work. Anyway, congrats on another Vibe!

Congrats, Jim! GM card rebate doubled?! SWEEEEEET! That was sleazy that they had already put on the window etching so they could tack on the extra. It is the BIGGEST dealer rip off scam ever...when I bought my (used) Firebird, they tried to scare me by saying it was state law. I knew better.
