Superchips Power Programmer?

Post by sstress »

I used to have an LS1 Firebird and was very happy with the performance gains from the handheld Diablosport Programmer...Has anyone here used the Superchips Power Programmer on their Vibe? They seem to be available online at a couple of auto parts stores... and yet, Superchips doesnt even list them as being available for the Vibe...... . .. .. ... .. .. . .odd.$399.002003-2006 Pontiac Vibe - Superchips Engine Programmer - Flashpaq Our Price: $399.00Quantity: Part Number: S542825MFR#: 2825Description:SUPERCHIPS FLASHPAQ PROGRAMMER -- This Unit Increases Power And Torque, Allows For Three Power Settings To Match Your Needs, Improves Shift Points And Firmness, Access To Diagnostic Trouble Codes And Speedometer Calibration For Larger Tires, Program Updates Available Via The Internet Fits the vehicle:Pontiac Vibe, 2003-2006 2003-2006: 4Cyl 1.8L Base 2003-2006: 4Cyl 1.8L GT EDIT: I just searched the specific part number on the Superchips websites, and it lists this specific tuner for the:1999-2006 Corvette, 1999-2002 Camaro, 2004-2006 Pontiac GTO, 1999-2002 Pontiac Trans Am & 2004-2005 Cadillac CTS-VI think this might be a goof on the part of PartsTrain.com and AutoPartsWarehouse.

There are no tuners for our cars. I don't know why. It must be the way the Toyota ECU is configured and programmed.

I emailed them about their tuning chip and they couldnt tell me anything about it but that they sold it. I would stay far away from it. The ones you should look at are the unichip, emanage and camcon. If you want to tune your self get the camcon and a wideband o2 gauge and you can use a laptop to street tune your car. But the best way is to take it to a tune shop and get it done on a dyno.

I don't believe they will work on the Vibe due to the Toyota ECU. Our tech uses one on his 2500 HD truck and loves it, but it's an actual Chevy/GM ECU vs the Vibe's Toyota ECU.
