i was just looking around online and was wondering if the vibes had extensions in the sun visors?(was reading somewhere and someone mentioned they did?)...i know mine doesnt because it has side airbags...anyone have pics of these if you do...i wish mine had extenders when i didnt have the tint...but now i do...sooooo..yah...lol...i know...random right? http://www.pontiac.com/vibe/specs_interior.jsp
Few options, both cheap and ghetto. One cheap ghetto way is to get some cardboard and duct tape, tape it on the lower edge and when its up it folds neatly away, but pull it down and you get the extra flap. Now for a real answer. I threw together a quick how-to:1) To get more shade cover you need to extend the current visor, simply stitching something to it won't help cause it will flap around and be inadequate while driving.2) Remove the current visor via the screws on the top holder3) Cut the current fabric off. You can either cut it all off, even around the mirror, or just the very bottom depending on if you can find matching fabric to sew back to it.3) By using either a piece of thin metal like an aluminum sheet or if you can find a hard but light plastic, like even taking a very thin plastic cutting board and cutting it to shape. Then determine how far down you want it to go from the current visor, once cut to desired shape, you can epoxy it to the current visor.4) Now you can recover the whole visor, either by stitching like fabric to the bottom cut, or recovering the whole thing. Personally I would find a seamstress or sewing shop that would be willing to do such a project, or even a nice lady from JO-ANN Fabrics to do it in her spare time. I can't imagine it costing much to recover.5)Enjoy your new shadeForgive me for the very basic drawings but it helps to give you an idea of what I am talking about. Total project shouldnt cost you more than $30-$50 for the whole thing. Just takes a little time and patience.

(as pictured above - if it wasn't obvious from the picture already)I can't remember how long we have a Vibe before I read about that here. And about the storage to the left of the steering wheel. And about the storage by the spare tire. And.......
hey thanks..yah after looking at the picture i realized that they only slide out...they dont become bigger.....hahah and about the long compartment in between the rear seats and spare tire...i discovered that only because of a picture of it on Toyotas website...i put flares in there!..its kinda an awkward storage area....and hard to reach with the carpet over it...and whatever else you are carrying at the moment
