Red Grafxwerks on Abyss Vibe

Post by Russiaville »

Well, I finally got around to installing my Grafxwerks overlays on my Vibe logos and to the center caps of my Mille Miglia wheels. I'm happy with the results. The bright red is not a perfect match to the red of the Pontiac darts but the dark red would be too dark. I probably should order the darts in bright red so everything matches. I'll be doing a full Zaino wax system on Memorial day and then should be set for the summer. Here are some more pics.http://www.villagephotos.com/pubbrowse. ... ted=276424

Looks really nice...I was wondering how that color would look...been debating on that myself. Although I do like the silver too. Hmm....

The rims are 16". I used the Contis that came with the car. Now I wish I had gotten 17s and new tires but that would have been more money. And no, there are no lights under the car and this photo is not touched up. I was surprised to see the red glow when I looked at this digital picture. The only thing I can figure out is that because I had my finger over the flash to eliminate the glare, the red from the blood in my finger projected onto the wheel. Pretty cool effect. Probably couldn't reproduce it if I tried.

Looks real nice! First time I saw those wheels on TIRERACK.COM I wished I'd just got steel wheels and hubcaps and put the money towards those! BTW, I'm guessing your camera has a red LED that lights to help reduce the red-eye effect we've all seen from using a flash and there's enough SHINE on your car to reflect it real well. It shows in the closeup of the Vibe logo on the rear hatch too.

Russiaville --Noticed you have a base vibe...can you take a picture of the rear wheels on your car with the new rims? I'm curious to see how an open-faced rim would look on a wheel with drum brakes...
