i dont like it, the lines just dont fit it. it looks extremely long because it obviously is. dont like the metal panel or what ever on the tailgate or the grooved lines.my dad has a 500/tarus which uses the same engine and he averages 23-25mpg. its a heavy car and imo doesnt accelerate any faster than the vibe which is pathetic for an engine putting out twice the poweri also wouldnt touch a ford now that they have microsoft software in them reminds me of thishttp://www.boreme.com/boreme/f...1.php

The new XBs seem great to me. Since I only have 100k miles on the Vibe it will probably be another 4 years toill the next new vehicle. There should be some very interesting ones by then.

They should call it the Flux, as in acid reflux. That's what it does to my stomach.

*yawn*yet another boring, lame, timid, unappealing, dull Ford vehicle from the stables. I don't even pay notice to what they have out anymore because on the road you dont know if your looking at a 500 or a Taurus. A Freestyle or a Taurus X, or maybe even some ambitious kid with a dropped and chopped Explorer. They just cannot get anything going aside from their trucks. Of which they had to do a rushed freshen up of the F-150 since the Tundra won TOTY and the new Ram is coming as well. I swear they should follow with what they have overseas, oh wait they do, it's called Mazda over here. The 3 is based off the European Focus and Volvo S40 frame and underpinnings, the new 6 is going to be based off the Mondeo's underbody, and the Mazda 5 is the S-Max over there. I'm still baffled by how they got thisAnd we are stuck with Now the Flex is nothing more than a completely screwed up xB.
hey, i didn't know ford did stretch conversions on xB's...

There are like three vehicles out now that look like boxes on wheels. I cant stand them, they are so ugly!! I cannot imagine that their gas mileage is any good just because they arent very aerodynamic.I hope this isnt a new trend and vehicles are going to become more boxy, I personally like the sporty look.

They would never get rid of Chevy cars. Chevy is their most successful brand.I did hear something to the effect that they were trying to stop model overlapping, but who knows what they will actually decide.
Aside from being awful to look at, the fuel economy on these things is terrible. But Ford feels they really broke new ground with this design (link) and says that this design is more aerodynamic and thus more fuel efficient than the competition. *shrug* She's still a fuel sucking pig no matter which way ya slice it. Ford may be impressed with the max of 17/24 MPG but I'm not. I guess it's better for the planet than an Exploder but still....So far I've seen one of these in person (outside of the auto shows.) Looks like they are selling well.

Can't recall what the minivans got as far as FE, but they probably were about the same. I had forgotten all about their exiting of the minivan biz. Come to think of it, they did the same thing that GM did with replacing their minivans with large "crossover" thingies...
