Post by 04shadowvibe »

Well the vibe was parked in a driveway and a van backed into it. Took it to the body shop today 1100 to fix it. Paint, pull dent, fender flare...needs to be removed to paint and fix quarterpannel, and a bumper cover cause its all scratched.

Yeah the van driver is paying for it. It was the homeowners father who hit it..lol I just hope the body shop can fix it and blend the paint well...Idk where they can blend it to on that part. Its a little over a year old now and that side is what takes the most sun because the Vibe lives outside year round. I had our other car fixed at this body shop before so i know they do good work but its just never the same you know.

I have a feeling that all they are going to do is pull the dent out paint it and blend it in to the rest of the paint job then clear the whole quarter panel. I would make marks inside the quarter panel to make sure that they do take it all off like they said they are going to do.... believe me I know the short cuts my teachers taught me alot of stuff about this.... so be safe make note of the seam sealer inside and make a mark because if they do take off the quarter you'll know....just looking out for a fellow viber

Well got the Vibe back today after four days. I was not there when my dad picked it up so when i got home i noticed right away 4 small dents right above the fender flare near the rear door. We took the car back over and they said the dents may have been caused by the removal of the fender flare. They are going to take the car next week and try the paint less dent removal on it. This is what pi$$es me off about people working on my cars....they never come back right. As for the big dent, it was just pushed out and filled. It looks good. I am just concerned about this grease looking stuff the applied to the back of the panel. I guess its a corrosion stuff....idk whatever....im just really pissed about the four dents.

Well got the Vibe fixed again. The body shop did the paintless dent removal on the dents and it looks fine now. First the fuel sending uint and gauge broke, then it got hit.....I hope my luck will change with it now.
