I have an old ledger book where I kept a lot of information including details on auto expenses.1-11-1971 19.3 gal @ 27.9/gal = 5.401-21-1971 Quarterly Auto Ins. premium on my 1968 Cadillac Deville $26.24. On my 1968 VW it was $21.76.In 1972 my cable TV service was $4 a month - but I think there were only about 5 channels.

Maryland has a law prohibiting the retail sale of gasoline at a price lower than the current wholesale price. It does a good job of keeping the Sheetz's and Wawa's from killing the local Mom&Pops, but it prevents any interesting price wars here.

It also essentially prevents the sale of imported butter.Why do they persist? Follow the money - the money flowing to the politicians.
