It has come down to this. To back up a bit.Mind will automatically go for Toyota Camry or Hond Accord. There are no deals for Accord, but there is some play room on Camry. I did consider Chevy Malibu, but there are almost no inventory, and my dealers are holding out. Electric PS has not gotten good reviews. And the 4 spd auto just seems old today. Altima and the CVT? Not sure on CVT or the QR25DE engine - the past gen has not been good for others. Mazda 6 is "perfect," but the dealer (and company) does not want to deal with no incentive or drive to try to sell the car.Price is always an issue, I think I will choose Ford Fusion. 5 spd auto, Mazda powered, and Mazda platform. All the safety features checked. I will be getting airport rental grade "S" model with steel wheels. Not the fancy SYNC, etc. What do you think of the Ford Fusion? Coming from "modified cars" for the last 10 years, I think I'm done (turn 40 this year). Maybe I'm just getting old. Do you think I'll get bored with the Ford Fusion?
2004 Vibe, Auto Trans. Built Sept 2003. Date in service May 2004. Sold May 2006.
fusions are alright, but to me it's just another ford and i've hated ford ever since i got into cars, lol, i wouldnt get caught dead in a ford..just my opinion
I wouldn't trade my Vibe for one, but I wouldn't mind owning a Fusion if I couldn't have a Vibe. Here is some of what Consumer Reports website said abour their Fusion roadtest:"Tested model: 2006 Base sedan, 2.3-liter Four, 5-speed automatic""The Mercury Milan and similar Ford Fusion are new midsized sedans that are very agile and satisfying to drive. These sedans rate even higher in our testing than the Mazda6 sedan on which they're based. They have a sporty feel; the V6 and automatic transmission make a smooth and responsive powertrain. The four-cylinder is a bit coarse. The interior is well made and space is generous." "We expect reliability to be much better than average, according to our latest subscriber survey."
