It's here!!!

Post by lovemyraffe »

My f-i-l just got back late last night with our new toy! He went to the Barrett-Jackson preview over the weekend and took cool pics (which I will post as soon as he emails them to me) and brought a present!

You boys have got some work to do. Put a nice big block Chevy crate motor in it and you'll be laughing.

We are picking up the new motor for it later this week. 502 big block fuel injected. The best part of this car, everything original is still there. Headliner, all the knobs and levers on the dash, seats (which still move), and....THE ORIGINAL FLOOR MATS!

thats a lot of steel that needs moving... hard to emagine that most of those type of cars had drum brakes in the front and rear... HAHAHAHA 60-0 in 4miles.

Awesome! I am jealous! Sounds pretty solid and original still! Looks pretty good meaning not real rott, just surface rust. I love project like this because to me and you we can see through all of this. "See", what it will be like when done! What is it again a 19## Buick what?

Much of the bad stuff comes in where screw pass through the metal and you can't see anything around any of the trim parts... that'll be fun... sure wish I could get into a project like that...

There is a little bondo on the car. But we picked it up for $1500. Can't beat that price. I could sell it as is for almost twice that.
