Plastic or metal on dash

Would I be right in assuming the gun-metal gray looking surrounds on the dash are good plastic vs. metal? They sound like plastic when I tap on them, but they look like metal that could be waxed like car exterior.Thanks.

Pretty sure they are plastic. When I say "pretty sure" I mean 102%

This may sound funny, but when I question things like this, i try and to the "tooth" test... if you can get a tooth on it... it will imideatly tell you what matieral it is... metal plastic or glass...

You should chew on some aluminum foil. Does great with fillings.
