A friend of mine asked me if I thought a wheelchair would fit in the back of a Vibe without folding down the rear seats. Since I haven't tried to put one in mine I thought I'd ask if anyone here has.His parents are looking for another car, but didn't want to get a mini-van.

Yeah, I still think it would...a standard one anyway...a motorized one I couldn't say...Couldn't they just pop by a dealer and check it out for themselves?
YES!I still visit GenVibe periodically. I have not forgotten about my "original" family over here!
it'd be very closeand it'd probably kind of high is someone wanted to sit in the wheel chairthey would probably have to stoop / slouch down heh cause those things have some pretty tall wheels on them
The idea is to keep a folded down wheelchair in the back. His mom isn't very mobile and needs the chair, and his dad presumably would be the driver. As for why they haven't tried to put a wheelchair into a Vibe, they're just starting to get information on hand.

quote:Maybe they can buy a Pacifica..Sure...if they don't care about quality or reliability...I'm not sure. That back area is pretty large. I'd recommend they go to a dealer and try fitting one in...I have a feeling it would fight. It might be tight, but something tells me it'll fit...
