The car will not start (2003)... we think it has to do with something on the clutch maybe some kind of sensor. all the lights and everything else come on and are strong... replace the battery 3months ago. Starter not even turning or clicking. happened out of the blue i have 115 thousand miles on the car any suggestions it would help allot. this sucks right before Christmas = ( thanks ....
There's a clutch sensor that is down near the clutch pedal to check that it is fully engaged. You can squirm your way down by the pedal and see the push button. I think a few people have tried putting some rubber or something on the pedal arm to cause it to engage the sensor button at an earlier stroke. Also, try checking the starter motor. Does the car even attempt to turn over?

Well it isn't really a sensor....it is just a push button switch. You can unhook it and jumper it with a piece of wire to check it.Then...make SURE your car is in neutral and try to start it. Push the clutch in anyway but now that switch is out of the picture. If that works the switch is bad. You can either replace it or keep it jumpered.I just (20 minutes ago) jumpered mine and taped it up out of the way. Now switch has no power over me....muuu haaa haaa haaaaaa
