I'm pretty impressed with this car, and I'm sure plenty of other people are too. However, I've got to mention a couple of things...I'm unhappy with how Nissan has been marketing this car. Saying things like, "no other car compares to the GTR" and "we've got the fastest production car time on the N-Ring" and then in the very next sentence saying, "we're going after the Carrera GT's time N-Ring time" is annoying. There are many other cars that can match or exceed the GTR in performance.Nissan should hold their tongues and just let the car and it's performance speak for itself. Also, every article I've read about the car says it's too hard to shift manually on the street, so they just put it in automatic mode. If you can't shift manually on the street USING PADDLE SHIFTERS then I say that is a design flaw. For me, a really fun part about sports cars is shifting yourself, not having the car shift for you. for the car's performance for Nissan's marketing
Nissan is also only allowing dealerships that have qualified as outstanding customer service dealerships to even sell the GT-R. The Continental Motor company that owns the dealership I work at also owns a Nissan dealership. They qualified but are not sure they are even going to order one.

the market price is suppose to be around $70k which isn't much of a difference from the Vette which most chev dealerships have a couple sitting around at any given time. Nissan is also controlling the market price so dealerships can't mark the first ones up for a large profit. They are also voiding warranty on any GT-R sold to a second owner within the first year. This is to curb mass purchase by private companies to then resell themselves.Guess they are expecting quite a demand.

oh no doubt. I think what you get for the price, if they don't jack it up, $70K is a smoking deal! i mean, look how much Vipers are, aren't they around $90K?
