Having lived in Anchorage, Fargo, and Denver I can assure you all that they are correct in this research. It's to cold in the winter, so stay inside and drink. It's really nice in the summer hey lets go out and fish and drink!!!

ha ha! yes, we LOVE our alky! the volume of alcohol bought and sold here is ridiculous! which reminds me... i need to go to the beer store!

Let's not forget that they are 1 mile above sea level, 1 beer equals 2 or 3 or something like that. So you get hammered faster.

actually, it's about alcohol related deaths and crashes, etc., not the amount of alcohol consumed.

i must have misread that article than.... but still not surprised. AK is usually one of the highest per capita for alcohol related crimes/deaths
