Has anyone heard of a Class II hitch for the Vibe? I know the Vibe can only tow 1500 pounds so the Class I is sufficient but I need a Class II to carry my bike rack. Thanks.
Class I and Class II hitches both have 1 1/4" openings according to etrailer.com. If your rack is 2", you can get an adapter that will allow you to use the 2" in the 1 1/4" hitch. I needed one to hold a tray on the back of my Escape and the adapter worked fine.

I've been looking for a Class II hitch as well. Seems that Class I handles a tongue weight of 200 lbs while a Class II handles 300 lbs. I was looking at some 4 bike carriers that required Class II hitches and could only handle 150 lbs of bikes. What's everyone else doing for hitch mounted bike racks? Do you all have 3-bike racks or is anyone running a 4-bike rack? Thanks,Tim
thanks for the info. I solved my problem a couple of weeks ago concerning my Class I hitch. These particular hitches have a welded notch inside the receiver that prevents Class II accessories from fitting into it. I had my mechanic friend use this air hammer thing to remove the notch so now my bike rack will fit into the receiver. I know you're thinking that it's not a good idea to modify the hitch but I'm being careful and making sure I don't exceed the weight ratings.
