Anyone ever heard of this place? http://www.decalfx.com The carbon fiber vinyl looks impressive. Just ordered some to experiment with. I'll keep you all posted.
oh yeah, my friend was showing me that, they have a new "vinyl" with the clea coating on it to make it look more real. they have pics of a hood with it...not bad looking
Got the vinyl...a bit expensive for the size you get (30 bucks for 12"x24" sheet). Can't take any pics right now because I just passed it off for a work project. Honestly, the "Carbon 2" vinyl was the best, most realistic version. It was actually quite impressive as far as how well the light played off the cf weave. The "Carbon 3 Hyper black" was...OK... I guess. Didn't look as nice and had a bit of a dark purple hue to it.Just thought I would share. I may order some more of the Carbon 2 in the future for graphic applications on the Abyss vibe. Wonder if it would look good on the roof rails, tail lights, etc.
Yeah, looks good... doesn't stretch very well though. On anything other than flat surfaces it could be tough to get it to apply without creases. I'm liking the hydro-graphics process more and more.
I've been looking into this hardcore for about two months now. I'm more impressed with the 3m Di-Noc Carbon Fiber Vinyl. seems to be a lot more forgiving and stretchy. I just tried some knock-off stuff and it was horrible. Couldn't do corners without creases. Check this out....http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fGwhosrm ... ?v...lated
