TSW Rims ?

Post by busa1300 »

Are TSW rims any good? I have been looking for a set of rims for the vibe to come and found a couple sets they make that I like. I have been looking around On the web and haven't found any other i like that they make with the right lug pattern.

I was looking at the Sakata 5's and the Snetterton's in chrome.

I had a set of TSWs (hockenhime IIRC)on my VW back in the day and I can tell you they are CRAZY heavy... Mine were 16" and weighed in at ~21lbs EACH... I couldn't imagine what a larger fitment would weigh... Just a note, if you don't know, a lighter wheel make a HUGE difference in both performance (acceleration AND braking) and gas milage.... much more so than say a CAI...

Hiya, busa,I have a set of an older TSW Sting wheels (seen below). They seem to be wearing fine but if you get a painted wheel, make sure the wheel place doesn't mar up the paint around the lugs. Tires Plus totally messed up the paint on 3 of the 4 during the install (they took responsibility but only replaced 1). You should be able to go to http://tsw.com to check their inventory to see what wheel sizes and lug patterns they have.I would buy TSW again. They seem to be decent.
