flame decal on the wave blue vibe?

Post by waveresponder »

ok so ive been thinking for the longest time if is should put a flame side body decal on the side of the vibe..i thinkn it be neat if it was either silver, orange, or both in color.....im still browsing to find a neat one....even thinking of maybe designing in it the words Firefighter-EMT..but that might be overdoing it....so what should i do...im gonna post some poll suggestions...feel free to photoshop some vibe or some of my pics to come up with ideas of your own...or just feel free to comment and voice your own opinion....something like this...but hopefully i can find cooler looking ones...http://decalkits.com/decalInfo...l=267h ... nfo...=423# Q: so should i get some sort of flame decal on the side of the vibe?

I think that it would look gaudy. The vibe looks really nice when it is clean.

The only thing that flames should be painted or decaled, is on old school muscle cars, maybe big rigs but definitely not a Vibe. That is almost as ghetto looking as those "spinner" wheel covers from Wal-mart.

Sorry, I have to change my response. I was thinking of putting them on my new toy. 1969 Datsun 510. It's nowhere near being done, but it is a tiny little car with 240hp, and it would just look so goofy it would be cool. But I still stand by the fact that on a Vibe the flame decals would look pretty damn gay.

It means we agree with you.Edit: Although I have to say flames on a Datsun seems silly too.

Flames on the Datsun would be silly. But that is kinda the idea. It looks so chincy, I almost want this car to look ghetto when it is done. I want to pull up next to some (removed) in his tricked out Civic, and just whoop his (removed) with this old ghetto lookin thing.I was going to get everybody's opinion on it when it gets closer to being done.

Why not some blue waves with white foam rolling on the top and a firetruck riding a surfboard... It would have about the same effect.... sorry.. Serious now: what about some "real flames" in blue and white... rather than the typical red-orange-yellow... They could be printed on a vinyl decal like you are after... something like apewraps does... http://www.apewraps.com/

Dude, I didn't mean to be such a (removed) about the flames. Even with being a firefighter and EMT, the flames are not a good idea. I am an EMT-I. I don't ride the bus, just cuz I don't like it, and am very grateful for those people who will put themselves in harms way to protect me and my family. But, no flames...please.

Sorry not doing that paint job. I was looking for more of a clean look (possibly with flames).

I always thought that Hope's GT looked great with it's very subtle ghost tribal flames.

Yeah, that one is ok. Anything more would be overdoing it in my opinion.

Pretty much echoing everyone elses comments. An old muscle car? Yeah, flames down the side for a retro kitsch appeal, sure. On a vibe? Not so much.

I know this is a little off the subject, but did you ever get your reaper decal figured out? I couldn't find the old thread.

i personally wouldnt do it, but if you really want too, then you could, afterall it IS your car and no one else has to tell you what to do with it, but if you did choose, i say go for the silver, maybe if its possible like a ghost affect where you see it at certain angles and lights and stuff, but my honest opinion is i've never liked that kinda stuff, it just spells rice, for example, look at all the cars in F&F

hey v, nice job! wave, like some have said here, if i put flames on the vibe, it would be a shade lighter than the color of the car, so it shows in different light.very subtle
