Genvibe Hoodie and Sweatshirts

Post by 02csnow »

A while back ago during summertime, I had new t-shirts made for everyone. Now that winter time is around how about some hoodies and sweaters?! I will be using the same design that was on the shirts. I am trying to find out how many people we can get together for a purchase. I am not sure of the price per article, but I can find that out and let everyone know by Tuesday.Just let me know if you are interested in a hoodie, a sweater, or even both. Will most likely go with some neutral colors ( black, white, gray). Here are the shirts for all who have never seen them with the designs that were created.

I like the hoodie too and I agree with Kev on putting the Vibe on the front instead When I ride the Duc in the cold I can rep the Vibe at the same time!

if I could get the red vibe on the front of a sweatshirt "small" with out anything on the back i would want one of those. The teeshirt with the red vibe on the back makes me break out in a sweat five mins after I put it on because of the amount of silkscreen ink on the back.

Ok, I just got off the phone with my buddy and the print shop. Here are the prices, let me know what you all think. He bases prices on colors and I told him it would be around 3 or 4 colors..Hoodies - $16.50Sweaters - $12.00

What kind of hoodie? Like what base brand would be used? I would think the Vibe on the front, with a large'ish GenVibe.Com on the back would be sweet... 16.50 is CHEAP... again, it depends on the base brand for the hoodie though, if these thing are junk, 16.50 is still a good price, but if they are, say Campion or Hanes..ect. then 16.50 is REALLY cheap...

I'm in. The Vibe on the front with not much on the back is great. If that's what we agree on, I'm in Even if we use the "front/head on view" like in the very first pic in the corner of the t-shirt but like blow it up a little to fit on the front of hte hoodie that wouild be even better. Then we could get the color of the hoodie to match our car and we wouldn't have to worry about the color of the cars, just the color of the hoodie.

Just to let everyone know..........If you want to change the color of the car for each of your own hoodies, then it is gonna cost you more. I can do it but it is a new screen every time. Not so sure about the color of the hoodie, but I do know it is cheaper to do them all in 1 or 2 colors. The same goes for anyone wanting to put their screen name on the hoodie.I was thinking just like Merzbow, blowing up the front design from the shirt and putting it on the front of the hoodie with genvibe.com being on the back. Also looking at taking the back design from the shirts and having it look like the front design, then using that as the front design for the hoodie with genvibe.com on the bak.I am trying to work on a few ideas and have help from others. I want to figure out the cheapest price but at the same time make everyone happy.

Let me know if you need any additional assistance, I do apparel graphics for a living and could help out if you need it. FYI, a black hoody, or any dark color for that matter would require a white underprint to get good quality color, so that would be an additional screen. Also, not sure who is doing your hoodies, but if you wanted to do some higher-end ones you could embroider it or do a combo embroidery/twill application. There would be a charge to digitize the graphic, but then you could change out the thread colors for future orders. I could work some conections as well if you ever want to go that route. I might be able to get some pretty good quality hoodies through work for a discount, let me know if you want me to look into it further.

Hey man, if you want to go ahead a look into it and do the hoodies that is up to you. I was trying to get ideals from everyone on what they wanted and what kind of design they wanted to do. Once that, I was gonna get them made, but dont when that was gonna happen.

I could get us these for $12-$13 per hoody unembellished. They would however have the swoosh on the pocket. If no one is opposed to that, you would be getting a really nice quality hood far below wholesale. I could get about 25-30 for now at that price in any of the sizes/colors listed in the image. Let me know.

I don't much like the idea of the swoosh, but, I could deal with it... I try not to support these mega companies if at all possible, their is plenty of other brain dead people out there doing that...

I'm interested depending on final cost which sounds like it will be really reasonable. Won't they all have to have the same design even if we choose different colors?

That depends. You could design it so it would work on any color (add a neutral colored outline like white or silver). If there is only one design, each color will require a screen to be made (usually $35-45 per color that makes up the design. Once all screen set up fees are accounted for, and the actual cost to screen each hoody (usually a few bucks each) we could take the grand total and divide by the number of people ordering hoodies to get final cost per piece.Example of approximate costs:25 hoodies wanted=$300one placement (i.e. fornt only or back only) 3 color graphic @ $135 screen set up feesprinting $4 per hoody=$100total=$535 / number of hoodies (25)Approx. $21.40 per hoodyThis is just a guideline, but it is feasible to achieve a quality hoody in your color choice for about 25 bucks. Then you can rock you genvibe gear with pride! Any specialty inks would warrant a small upcharge (ie. metallics like silve or gold). Hope this helps. We could also look into different applications like twill w/ embroidery but it may be considerably more expensive. I could look into it for approximate pricing if we want to explore that as an option.

Let's get the artwork started then. The genvibe design gurus can make a few designs and we can do like last time and have a poll to decide which one we want.

Just like with the shirts. Somebody create an artwork and get it to me. If you want me to get them, or someone else can do them.I cant remember how much my friend told me the hoodies were. But if I remember right, they are between $15 and $20, maybe less. I will check on everything this week and get with you all next weekend.
