Well my g/f own's a 2003 vibe and i get the phone call today "my lights arent on"... lolwell her high beams worked and she drove home. i go out and check the fuses under the hood, and the fuses are good for the left and right headlamp.i looked on here and noticed there is a daytime fuse, checked it (damn what a tight spot).fuse was good.I'm confused. daytime lights do not turn on, nor do headlamps when you flip the switch.high beams work tho!any thoughts?

i just think its odd that both went out together. we replaced both 5 months ago because one went out. looks like we won't buy the same brand again! lol
Are they Silvania SilverStars???If so, they are JUNK.... I have a complete lighting thread here somewhere... lemme take a gander and see if I can find it... EDIT: found it.... http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=28670

I can't say if both died the same day, or if I just didn't notice the first one outI finally found a NAPA store that sold a non-Sylvania brand (federal mogul), so that is what I'm running now, but I won't know ho long they last until one of them dies. This most recent time I noticed when only one of the Sylvanias had lost the low beam filament. I thnk maybe daytime running lights are hard on Sylvanias. The factory GE bulbs lasted me a really long time compared to the Sylvaniasyou probably already knew it, but don't touch the glass when changing bulbs
hmmm...i'm wondering if she's got the ebrake pulled up a notch or two. on the o3-o4 vibe, if you want to start the car, or run the engine without the drl, you engage the ebrake. by pulling it up one click, you can drive without the drl. i wonder now if it disengages the drl, but no the hi beam?
